“International Conference on International Trade and Business Law”
19 – 21 August 2015, Surabaya–Indonesia
The 2015 International Conference on International Trade and Business Law (INTRABIL) is jointly organised by Faculty of Law Universitas Airlangga – Indonesia and Te Piringa – Faculty of Law Waikato University – New Zealand. It aims to bring together legal academic, researchers, scholars and professionals to exchange and share their experiences and research results about all related aspects of international trade and business law. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and academics to present and discuss the most recent issues, trends, and cases, practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted in the area of international trade and business.
All authors are kindly encouraged to contribute to and help shape the conference through submissions of their abstracts and papers. Also, research contributions describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, or theoretical work in all areas of trade and business are cordially invited for presentation at the conference. The conference invites contributions of abstracts and papers that address themes and topics of the conference, including figures, tables and references of novel research material.
Session on Business and Human Rights: This conference will also accommodate a special session on business and human rights issues. This session will be held in co-operation with ELSAM (Institute for Policy Research and Advocacy). Parallel sessions will be opened for government officials, business representatives, NGOs, national human rights institutions, and academics, to present papers and research findings on the issues of business and human rights in Indonesia and the South East Asia region.
Topics: International Trade: WTO, Regionalism, Free Trade Agreements, and other trade related issues; International Business: International Sales of Goods, International Finance, Corporate Law, Competition Law, and Electronic Commerce; Investments: Joint Venture, Law of Financial Institutions, Investment Treaties, and Oil, Gas and Mining Law; Dispute Resolutions: WTO dispute settlement, International Commercial Arbitration, and Investor-State Dispute Settlement; Business and Human Rights: The Protect, Respect and Remedy Pillars; Corporate Human Rights Responsibility, Corporate Reporting and Human Rights Audit, and State and Non-State Based Remedy Mechanism; Miscellaneous: other topics related to public and private law, constitutional law, criminal law, administrative law, and other issues on justice and equality.
